Unbeatable durability for the harshest environments
PVC LABELS
PVC Labels & tags are completely waterproof and naturally resistant to chemicals, oils, and UV rays, these rugged labels are the industry standard for branding industrial machinery.
What are PVC LABELS?
PVC labels are highly durable product markers crafted from polyvinyl chloride, a resilient synthetic plastic material. Unlike traditional paper alternatives that easily tear, smudge, or degrade when exposed to moisture, these synthetic tags are engineered to survive extreme conditions.
They can be manufactured as thin, flexible stickers with strong adhesive backings, or molded into thick, three-dimensional rubberised patches. This versatility makes them a premier choice for businesses that require branding and informational tags that remain crisp, vibrant, and completely legible over years of heavy use.
The primary appeal of these labels lies in their absolute immunity to environmental wear and tear. They are completely waterproof, UV-resistant, and unaffected by drastic temperature fluctuations, which prevents them from fading or cracking under direct sunlight or freezing conditions.
Mockridge Labels provides high-specification, bespoke PVC labels, asset tags, and stickers manufactured in the UK for industrial applications requiring extreme durability. The company offers tailored solutions, including UV-stabilised and chemical-resistant materials with options for variable data, high-bond adhesives, and 3D polyurethane resin doming.
In industrial and manufacturing sectors, they serve as heavy-duty safety warnings, asset tracking tags, and barcode markers on heavy machinery and chemical containers.
In hazardous work environments, PVC labels serve as a critical safety baseline due to their ability to keep vital warning messages perfectly legible during emergencies. Unlike standard paper or thin vinyl stickers, heavy-duty PVC safety signs will not curl, shrivel, or dissolve when exposed to extreme heat, smoke, or sudden chemical splashes.
Because the text and bright safety colours are deeply embedded into the UV-resistant material, these labels survive constant sunlight, abrasion from heavy machinery, and routine industrial washdowns, ensuring that life-saving compliance information remains permanently visible to workers.
From a logistical standpoint, these labels are also highly adaptable to various manufacturing and attachment methods. Depending on the final application, they can be produced with specialized heat-activated backings for iron-on application, pressure-sensitive industrial adhesives for smooth metal and plastic, or pre-molded sewing grooves for easy stitching onto textiles. This makes them seamlessly compatible with existing factory assembly lines.
By bridging the gap between rugged survival and high-impact visual design, they provide a reliable, long-term labeling solution that protects a company's brand identity in any environment.
DELIVERING QUALITY SINCE 1966
Mockridge Labels are UL approved to manufacture to PGAA & PGDQ2 standards, which means that our products meet the highest safety, and quality standards. We can print the official UL logo and assist our clients with getting UL approval for the graphic overlays and Labels we manufacture for export to the USA.

PGAA
PGAA category consists of the Authorised Supplier Program where suppliers of labels and other printed document must adhere to specific printing guidelines before they can print the UL Certification Mark.
Certification for the PGAA program includes an initial inspection followed by regular visits from a UL inspector.
Suppliers with PGAA accreditation can reproduce all UL marks, this is done by gaining authorisation from UL by attaining a UL stamp on your product drawings, which are inspected by UL field inspectors.

PGDQ2
PGDQ2 is a Marking & Labelling Systems Program that covers labels (nameplates and markers) and label materials.
Labels and label materials accredited under PGDQ2 are tested under the UL969 standard, in accordance with a specific set of criteria, including substrate types, temperatures and exposure conditions. This is to ensure that the labels and label materials used will adhere to the final product, with the safety label information necessary to alert product users of potential hazards remain legible.
Labels that have gone through and passed UL969 testing are called UL Recognised Component Labels.

ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION
ISO 9001 is based on a number of principles that go hand in hand with good business practice. These include focusing on customers, involving all people that affect your business, doing things systematically and continuously looking for ways to improve.
Organisations that implement ISO 9001 are invariably a step ahead of those that don’t. This is because they’re usually more efficient and can pass cost savings onto customers to become more competitive. The systematic and structured approach of ISO 9001 means that staff are motivated as they’re clear about their responsibilities.
