Graphic overlays are a critical component of user interface design, providing a durable and visually impactful surface for keypads, control panels, and electronic displays. Customisable in colour, texture, and finish, they enhance both the functionality and appearance of your device while offering protection against moisture, dust, and wear. Ideal for industries such as medical, automotive, and industrial control, our overlays are engineered for precision, reliability, and brand consistency.
MATERIALS
Material choice is a critical step in the design process. The material used for a product will have a significant impact on its performance, cost, and sustainability. There are many factors to consider when choosing a material, including the application, the environment, the budget, and the desired aesthetic.
LEXAN™ Polycarbonate
LEXAN™ Polycarbonate Film is a high quality, tough, stable and heat-resistant material ideally suited to a number of graphic and industrial applications.
Folex® hard coat polyester provide greatly enhanced surface hardness, chemical resistance and flex life and are ideally suited for reverse printed graphics, fascia-panel and membrane touch switch manufacturers. Available in Matt & Gloss finish
Available Thicknesses: 150 micron | 250 micron View Data Sheet
Transparent & white rigid PVC film, impact modified. Suitable for offset UV, digital, screen, flexo and gravure printing. An anti-glare effect and scratch resistance can both be achieved with an embossed surface.
We have a wide range of self adhesive vinyl to choose from. Each grade has multiple variations of finish, including gloss white vinyl, matt white vinyl, gloss clear vinyl and matt clear vinyl.
Choosing the correct adhesive is an important step and we stock a wide range of adhesives to suit any situation.
3M™ 467MP
3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 467MP provides outstanding adhesion to metal and high surface energy plastics. 200MP adhesive delivers excellent shear strength to resist slippage and edge lifting.
3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 468MP get excellent shear strength, temperature and chemical resistance with our easy to apply 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 468MP. It’s an acrylic adhesive on a polycoated kraft paper liner and is ideal for die-cutting.
300LSE Adhesive provides excellent bonding to low surface energy substrates including powder coatings and plastics such as polypropylene (PP). It also has high adhesion to and lightly oiled metals and high surface energy materials, making it suitable for bonding dissimilar substrates. This adhesive also provides excellent holding power and anti-lifting properties
Mockridge Labels are UL approved to manufacture to PGAA & PGDQ2 standards, which means that our products meet the highest safety, and quality standards. We can print the official UL logo and assist our clients with getting UL approval for the graphic overlays and Labels we manufacture for export to the USA.
PGAA
PGAA category consists of the Authorised Supplier Program where suppliers of labels and other printed document must adhere to specific printing guidelines before they can print the UL Certification Mark.
Certification for the PGAA program includes an initial inspection followed by regular visits from a UL inspector.
Suppliers with PGAA accreditation can reproduce all UL marks, this is done by gaining authorisation from UL by attaining a UL stamp on your product drawings, which are inspected by UL field inspectors.
PGDQ2
PGDQ2 is a Marking & Labelling Systems Program that covers labels (nameplates and markers) and label materials.
Labels and label materials accredited under PGDQ2 are tested under the UL969 standard, in accordance with a specific set of criteria, including substrate types, temperatures and exposure conditions. This is to ensure that the labels and label materials used will adhere to the final product, with the safety label information necessary to alert product users of potential hazards remain legible.
Labels that have gone through and passed UL969 testing are called UL Recognised Component Labels.
ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION
ISO 9001 is based on a number of principles that go hand in hand with good business practice. These include focusing on customers, involving all people that affect your business, doing things systematically and continuously looking for ways to improve.
Organisations that implement ISO 9001 are invariably a step ahead of those that don’t. This is because they’re usually more efficient and can pass cost savings onto customers to become more competitive. The systematic and structured approach of ISO 9001 means that staff are motivated as they’re clear about their responsibilities.
At Mockridge Labels & Nameplates, we specialise in the manufacture of bespoke labels and nameplates, designed to meet the demands of a wide range of industries and environments.
Electronics
Our range of labels for the electronics sector are suitable for a variety of applications, including component identification, safety warnings, serial numbering, barcode tracking, wiring and circuit diagrams, hazard labels, data matrix codes, CE and UKCA marking, anti-static labelling, and rating identification. Our labels adhere reliably to surfaces such as stainless steel, plastics, stainless steel, and aluminium.
Aerospace
Aerospace labels play a vital role in part identification, personnel safety, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. These labels are specifically engineered to endure extreme conditions, including high temperatures, chemical and UV exposure. Common types include identification labels, warning labels, heat-resistant, chemical-resistant, and tamper-evident labels.
Military
Labels used in the military sector must possess specialised characteristics to withstand harsh environmental conditions and demanding operational requirements. They must be highly durable, resistant to a range of external factors, and compliant with stringent industry standards. Bespoke solutions are often necessary to meet the specific needs of military applications.
Construction
At Mockridge Labels & Nameplates, the labels we produce within the construction sector fulfil a varied range of functions, from site safety warnings signs and equipment identification to material tracking and regulatory compliance. They are essential for promoting safety, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Medical
To produce durable labels for medical devices and equipment, clear polycarbonate or polyester material is used, including anti-microbial options. We also manufacture bespoke graphic overlays and control panels for medical machinery, which often feature embossed buttons and windows that remain hidden until illuminated.
Logistics
Our labels are an essential asset in the transportation and logistics industry, supporting the efficient movement and tracking of goods all over the world. Our labels are commonly used for identifying and tracking goods, while hazard and safety labels and signs are extremely vital for the safe handling of dangerous materials.
