The below photo is when we produced the Winners Trophy for The University Challenge TV show. An Etched Stainless Steel plate. This plate was later formed and folded into the shape of a book.
Etched nameplates are metal nameplates that have been chemically etched to create a permanent, durable, and eye-catching finish. The etching process uses chemicals to remove a layer of metal from the surface of the nameplate, revealing the underlying metal. This creates a contrast between the etched areas and the un-etched areas, which gives the nameplate a unique and stylish appearance.

Yes it is quite a lot of extra work but you do end up with a nameplate that is 'extra'.
We anodise our aluminium, and we only use grade 5251, we create an anodic layer on the aluminium. Using specialist inks we can then print into this layer and seal the surface.
What are you left with? A hardwearing and durable nameplate suitable for a wide variety of uses and environments, they can have holes, cut outs and adhesives. Unlike an aluminium surface printed labels the ink is dyed into the material and won't scratch off without destroying the surface.
If this sounds like something you would need please contact our Sales Team and they will be happy to talk you through everything making sure that you get the labels and nameplates that meet your needs.

From 1 January 2022, the CE marking will not be recognised in Great Britain for areas covered by this guidance and the UKCA marking.
However, a product bearing the CE marking would still be valid for sale in the UK so long as it was also UKCA marked and complied with the relevant UK rules.
Separate rules apply to medical devices.
